There have been many miles driven since I last posted here. Even though I have no pics today I thought I would do a mini* update.
Winnie got to drive down the east coast this past February to visit her pal Minnie in Orlando. It was a fun drive and we found an awesome lazer car wash for her down there. Really wish we had those up here!
Then mostly Winnie has just been be boppin' around the area, nothing too far. Got to visit her buddy the Uber Beetle in her new digs too. But like I said not too far, that is only about a 10-15 minute trip.
Memorial Day weekend she got to go visit our nations capital to see Rolling Thunder. A very slow trip out there stuck in all sorts of terrible traffic, but no problems once there and she got to try out her first valet parking experience. Glad to say all went well there too. Was a little nervous about the idea of it all. And as her reward for being such a good sport and letting a stranger park her, there was no traffic on the way home at all!
*terrible pun intended

Ok we have been terrible at updating Winnie's adventures lately. But way back in September 2006 she took us to Limerock Raceway for some antique car race/show. There were lots of her friends there.
We also got to see why we love Winnie's colors so much. How pretty do these cuties look?
Then there were all the John Copper Works mini's in a row. They traveled all across the states this summer.
And in conclusion, check out this "mini" car. The door opens in the front. So sweet.

Will soon break the 1000 mile barrier! Here is a little safety sign we saw the other day as a reminder to behave even now that Winnie is a little more grown up and broken in.

Ok Winnie went with us again along with the sister to the bowling lanes. And after game four magic happened, I bowled a 146! She and I tied for our highest scores ever, wee hoo! She of course did better than me throughout the night, but that last game, I was the champion!
And the uncle didn't do too bad himself. His high for the night was a whopping 236 or something close to that. The bowling lady couldn't get the printer to print out scores so I can't remember his exact highest score, of course that is not his all time best as he says he has bowled several perfect games in his time, crazy!

Winnie is getting a little older now so it was about time she learned to bowl. We headed out with the Uncle who gave us some tips on how to knock more pins down.
But just as the lessons were kicking in we got bumped outta there and only got through 2 games. And I was actually improving, so sad.
Guess we will just have to go back again.

It was a big day for Winnie a couple weekends ago. Started out with the usual car chase, she has a thing for Red Minis I am noticing.
And then it was on to the golf course. We thought it was kinda funny that the clubs matched the car.
Everyone got all dressed up for the
Trinity Tourney 2006 which led to my a new nickname, "Coco" as in Chanel. I was rather coordinated in pink that day, what can I say? I know those aren't my pink feet, but this gal arrived in flip flops that were argyle golfy, mix in the socks and well it is just too fun!
The course was beautiful and we had awesome weather. Couldn't ask for more really and then we saw this little guy out there. The course owners said they feed him when they can since he looks a little ill, poor fella.
We had such a nice day out there, with lots of fun for a sibling team of four.
Winnie got to make a new friend with the golf cart.
And we even ended it all with a prize! That's right we got the worst team score! he he he. Ok, so it was my first day ever at a golf course, my sisters too, let alone actually playing. We still had a great day, and a yummy meal afterwards. We might even try it again someday, so that is a success in our book!

Um yesterdays storm, turned out to have tornados in it! Um in New York? Very bizarre. I guess that is why my train was all shut down for a while, trees were down all over the place and we couldn't get through. Luckily they were fast at the clean up and I did get home with out too much delay in the end.
Currently prepping for this weekends road trip to Ohio. Got a family reunion to get to. Should be fun, Winnie is excited to see some new states :)

Is it really bizarre of me to be sad right now? It is totally pouring out, loud thunder, crazy amounts of water gushing all over (nope that is not why I am sad) and all I can think is...why am I not in my loverly Winnie driving around listening to the pod right now? I just love how she drives no matter the weather. I can hardly wait until it snows to test that one out. So sad I will be riding the train home tonight with no time to drive.
I have other posts to make of Winnie's weekend of golf but alas that will have to wait as well.
---------------------
Just found out my train isn't even running due to this rain, wah! So now I am just sitting here waiting until they clear the trees that are preventing me from getting on the train to get home, to where I won't be able to drive at all for sure as it will be late late late when I get home.

Had to stop off at the DMV to say adieu to Winnie's younger sibling. After the loss of the front wheel it was just time to say goodbye. You served us well Silver Bullet.

Winnies first crush. She was chasing down this cutie on the highway this weekend. She went faster than ever before just to get a closer peek.

Hot dog run! Winnie had to skip out of the celebration for a quick minute. There was some roasting going on over ther weekend but sometimes you just want a hot dog instead :)

Yikes! Winnie had a close encounter the other night. She had her top open and forgot all about it til morning. Of course there was a crazy wild rainstorm overnight!! Yikes, thought for sure she would be drowned but luckily it was just partially open and in some mysterious way the rain stayed out of her interior. She is one lucky mini.
